It isn't as though I hated it. It got better toward the end but it never got really good. I should have trusted my earlier instinct about it. Finishing it seemed like a chore and that is not why I read.
One quote I enjoyed -

I'm so late on commenting on this. I'm so sorry you didn't like this one. I haven't read it but my expectations were a bit high. This review should temper them a bit so I won't be too let down if it's not for me. Glad it's over. Reading a book that feels like a chore is no fun!
