In Google Reader, we can only see the first few lines. Of course, this may be exactly what you want, and if so, by all means keep it that way! But I thought I'd let you know in case you weren't aware, especially since the majority of book bloggers won't subscribe to a blog with partial feed - they like ot be able to read the whole post in the feed reader. Anyway, I just thought I'd ask. I personally prefer full feed to partial as well.
